Interested in becoming a client of the Community Clothes Closet? Your first step is obtaining a referral.
Are you already a client but your account is expired? Follow the same steps!
A referral may be submitted to us from any human services organization. Although our services are not restricted by location – if you can get to us, you can shop with us – your referral must come from a Wisconsin-based organization. These human services groups range from food pantries and financial-assistance institutions to homeless shelters, medical clinics, school districts and county health departments.
Some of our common referring agencies in the Fox Valley include:
- St. Joseph’s Food Program
- St. Vincent de Paul
- Salvation Army
- Harbor House
Employers may also refer employees to utilize our services.
Simply ask the agency that you are working with to submit a referral to us on your behalf. Our referral instructions and form can be found under the “Agency Referral” tab of this website. The agency should let you know once a referral has been sent.
Once the referral has been sent to us, you can schedule your first shopping appointment!
Appointments may be scheduled over the phone by calling 920.731.7834 or may be booked through this site under the ‘Client Services’ tab by clicking on the ‘Shopping Appointments’ drop-down option.
For your first appointment we ask that you please bring a form of photo identification (driver’s license, state-issued ID card, passport or school ID) and social security cards for all individuals listed on the account. If a photo ID and/or social security card is not available just let us know at the time of check-in.
