Without our volunteers, the Community Clothes Closet could not function. Our volunteers assist in providing services for those in need in Northeastern Wisconsin by giving time in a variety of different roles at the CCC. Helping clients register, check in/out, or helping behind the scenes in the office or with clothing donations, we have a need for volunteers in various positions.

Not only do we have individual volunteers on a daily basis, but we also work with groups of volunteers from local businesses and organizations. If your group or organization is looking to give back to the community and to participate in team-building, please email us or call us at 920-731-7834.

Current Volunteer Needs:

Donation Desk Attendants - Help Needed: Monday nights from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Friday mornings from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM

Responsibilities include greeting donors, answering donor questions, helping to fill out donation receipts and assisting clothing donors unload donations from their vehicles. When not assisting donors, you may help us sort socks, jewelry and size undergarments.

This is a more physically demanding volunteer opportunity; we ask that volunteers be comfortable standing frequently and are able to lift up to 40 pounds.

Client Check-in Attendants - Help Needed: Mondays and Thursdays 9:45 AM to 1 PM

Responsibilities include current client sign-in, account renewals and new client account registrations. Check-in attendants are also tasked with shopping cart sanitation and general shopping floor organization. You may also be asked to help with other projects such as sorting socks, jewelry, and sizing undergarments.

This position does require the use of a computer so being comfortable with using technology is required. The ability to speak Spanish is not required but would be a plus!

Shoe Sorters - Help Needed: Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Responsibilities include inspecting, sorting and sizing shoes received for donation and placing shoes out on our client shopping floor. When shoes are complete, you may also be asked to help with other projects such as sorting socks, jewelry, and sizing undergarments.
We ask that volunteers in this role be comfortable standing and bending frequently and are able to lift up to 10 pounds.

We will gladly reward you for your work with freshly brewed coffee, delicious snacks and cheerful camaraderie alongside of a wonderful team of staff members and fellow volunteers!
